Confusion About Uffizi and Accademia Reservations

I'm a little confused. When I called
011 39 055 294 883 several weeks ago, I was
given a time and reservation # for both the
Uffizi and Accademia. I was never asked for
my credit card. But I've read in several posts that people should have their credit
cards ready when they call. ??? Thanks for
clarifying.

I made my reservations while in Italy but I don't remember being asked for a credit card #. I just showed up with my res. number and probably cash.
I think you will be just fine.

Thanks, keb0503. Appreciate the
quick response.

Unless something has changed recently, the Uffizi and Accademia only take cash. We asked the owner of the villa we stayed in to make our reservations. He gave us confirmation #s. We didn't pay until we got to the ticket window.

Enjoy!

When we made our phone reservations, we were given a reservation # for the day and time we requested.

If I remember correctly, they only accept cash at the ticket window.

And beware: Sometimes the museums only will take small bills, close in amount to the admission charge. I saw visitors being turned away at the Medici Chapel in Florence when they tried to pay with a large-denomination bill.
