Confirm drop off station at Perugia from Spello....Sant'Anna Station?
Trenitila just lists Perugia as the end station from Spello. At the Perugia Online site it indicates trains from Umbria, I'm arriving from Spello, will end at the Sant'Anna Station. I just want my I's dotted and my T's crossed....please confirm this is where I will arrive and depart.
Thank you. |
travelfan1, I looked at the 3 train tickets in my book and they all just say 'Perugia'--we travelled from Rome to Perugia, Perugia to Arezzo and Perugia back to Rome.
Does anyone have better info for OP? |
PS-I googled and the wiki below says Perugia Fontivegge is the main station:

As I recall, the signage in the main Trenitalia station at Perugia says just "Perugia."
"Sant'Anna" is in the private FCU (Ferrovia Centrale Umbra) railway system. Your train from Spello will make a stop at Perugia Ponte S. Giovanni about 15 minutes before it reaches the main Perugia station. At Perugia P.S.G. you could catch an FCU train for an 8-minute ride to Perugia Sant'Anna or stay on the Trenitalia train for an 8-minute ride to Perugia. Trenitalia.com won't show this routing, but this site will: http://www.fsitaliane.com/homepage_en.html I would ask your hotel which station is most convenient to the hotel. |
Here's a line map.

Sorry if I misunderstood--do you want to go to Sant'Anna station?
|
TDudette...no to the Sant'Anna station. I have learned booking through Trenitalia the main stop is the Fontivegge station and that Sant'Anna is part of the local FCU line which doesn't stop in Spello....so I don't need to worry about where I'll end up in Perugia.

Great, travelfan1. I looked back at your profile and will address your other questions now. Somethings posts move so quickly, it's easy to miss them.
