Conde Duque Hotel in Madrid?
Has anyone stayed at this hotel and can they tell me what part of town it is in. What
resturants are in the area. Is it near a metro stop?
My family, friends, and I have all stayed at this hotel. It is comfortable and the staff was very friendly. It is located very close to the San Bernardo metro stop on the red line #2 and about 10 minute walk from the Arguelles/Moncloa metro line. There is a lot of shopping on Princesa (Arguelles/Moncloa area) and also a Corte Ingles one block away from the hotel. You can also catch the bus #21 to go to Bilbao, Colon, Serrano, Goya, Manuel Becerra, Ventas and beyond. (crossing the street Alberto Aguilera). If you catch the bus on the same side of the Hotel you can ride to Princesa and the Parque Rosales (Temple of Debot). I remember seeing a couple of restaurants next door to the hotel but do not remember their names. E-mail me if you need more info.

Just out of curiosity, when are you going to be in Madrid and how many rooms and nights will you be staying at Hotel Conde Duque? I received an incredible deal but it's very specific on dates etc. Are you already booked? Also, the bus is nice because you can see the sights on the way. I found the 21 to be very well connected! (I lived there for 5 years and the 21 was my main bus)!

Sorry Don, I think I spoke too soon. The incredible deal seems to have doubled in price since last year. It is now $100 per night. If you're still interested in details let me know. Also, request a room facing the courtyard/plaza out front.
