Hi
You're right, the Concordia has been asked about a couple of times here but there don't seem to have been many responses.

I did find the following older posting:

"Author: frank ( [email protected])
Date: 05/02/2001, 11:34 pm
Message: In Venice, we always stay at the Concordia. Its right on St Marks Square(literally within 20') and the owners are very helpful, speak excellent egnlish, and are excellent host. The hotel is not too large(54 rooms)all with a great view. The breakfast spread is excellent as is the lunch menu. Your right next to the Vapporetto stops and where the Gondola's dock. You also get to enjoy the nightly music in St Marks Squar. We'll be there in June and can't wait...have a great trip.
Arrevederci! "

I don't know the hotel, but the location is very convenient.

Just for the future though, I worry when I read "my travel agent has booked me", because it implies that you didn't know anything about the place yourself.
In my experience, it is especially your own, even if you then ask the agent to arrange it for you. Too often agents go with hotels that pay commissions, or that are featured in the shiny brochures, and sometimes those hotels are not well-located or are not good values in other ways. However, if you are satisfied with the rate you got and the amenities, it sounds fine.

Good luck with your trip. I have a file on Venice; if you'd like to see it, email me.
