Conciliazone in Rome - location

I am researching hotels in Rome, finding them quite expensive. My parents stayed in a hotel in this area...the "Conciliazone" when they went on a church tour through Europe. I know it is close to the Vatican, but does anyone know how close it is to other "sights" in Rome...such as the Roman Forum, Coloseum, etc. Also, how far is this area from Termini Station. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

According to mappy.com Via della Conciliazione is just over a mile from the Pantheon on foot, but I'd say it feels longer (but then again, I probably didn't choose the shortest route). Maybe it's because Rome is so packed with things to see, but I see that as more of a 1/2 hour walk. Try mappy.com with other locations, including Termini.

Hi AC,

>I am researching hotels in Rome, finding them quite expensive.<

What's your budget?

Have you looked up <Rome Hotel> in the "search this forum" box?

Have you looked at wwww.venere.com?

Thank you both for the suggestions, I have been using expedia and travelocity for my hotel searches (mainly because they have the reviews of other travelers and I am nervous).

You might also look at www.tripadvisor.com. Lots of reviews there. And also at venere.com. The nice thing about the latter is it shows the locations of the hotels within the city (on a map).
