Concierge Service at Heathrow?
Looking for reviews of concierge services at Heathrow - meet and assist services. I've been to Heathrow several times in my younger days, but now that I'm a more "seasoned" traveler, the idea of someone helping with suitcases, finding me a taxi, etc. is appealing. At 75, my stamina is not what it used to be and I will be traveling alone. I'm still in the planning stages, but tentatively plan to go from Heathrow to Oxford for one night then on to Moreton-in-Marsh to meet a tour group. I would also welcome any suggestions about getting to Oxford & lodging there, etc.

perhaps a car-service might be more useful
I'd avoid addison like the plague |
No real Concierge service that I know of unless one is traveling in First Class on some airlines or are using the very expensive (almost £3000) VIP Arrivals services
But in the airport anyone can book the wheel chair/motorized cart services to get from the plane through immigration and customs and into the Arrivals hall. It would help if you travel light and don't have checked luggage. There is a direct express coach from LHR to central Oxford. As long as you can roll your bag and walk to the bus rank it isn't at all strenuous. The worst part about arriving at LHR is the often loooooooong walk from the plane to immigration. That is where the wheelchair service is a god send. |
Thanks, Janis - you're always a fount of knowledge!

There are meet and greet operators at Heathrow.
