Concerts/Restaurants-Rome or Ravello July

Thanks for all your help so far. We will be in Rome July 24-26 and then in Amalfi from the 27-Aug.3rd. I can't find any concerts in either place at that time. Any suggestions? Also, I need a really nice restaurant in Rome-view etc, but not more than $80. per person. Joan

A little google search...try this link:

We were there last summer and went to many outdoor concerts. Florence has a too as does Siena and the hill towns. When you get there you can't miss all the posters everywhere. Have fun.

oops sorry, jusy realized you're going to Amalfi and not Tuscany. I am sure you will find the same situation there though as Italy takes to the outdoors in the summertime.

Joan - The Ravello concert season is usually May-June - with other events in Sept/Oct - so you might be unlucky there.
Here's the programme:

One possibility if you have transport might be the Sorrento Musical at Teatro Tasso:

The Rome outdoor season (l'Estate Romana) should be in full swing this month. Try this link:

Hope this helps ...

I was in Ravello last week at the Philip Glass concert. You might find the schedule you want at ravelloarts.com. It is in a spectacular night time outdoor setting in the gardens of Villa Rufolo(concerts begin at 9:45 at night)under the stars. Tickets cost us 31€ each. Ravello is beautiful. Hope you can make it. The last bus runs down to Amalfi about 10 PM, I believe, so you must plan to stay in Ravello, pay an exhorbitant amount for a taxi or drive up and back. We stayed at the Villa Maria Hotel.
