Dear Betsy,
We ate at Bofingers at few weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We chose from the prix fixe menu. I can still taste the creme brulee - delicious! Our servers were fun and pretended to get upset if we tried to pour the wine ourselves.

Thanks again, Joyce. I have read some mixed reviews about Bofingers, but then, I've read mixed reviews for just about any of these brasseries.

betsy

Hi Betsy,

I'm planning to go to L'Ambassade D'Auvergne just to eat some Aligot (an Auvergnat specialty)-the best mashed potatoes in the world bar none! It's actually potatoes, cheese and butter. I promise you, you'll think you died and went to heaven.

I've eaten at Bofinger three times on 3 trips to Paris. Have never been disappointed. Also chose from the price fix menu, also found their champagne by the bottle prices great. 93 Cristal for 90$, can't beat that!

Pile ou Face was great - but don't go too early or you'll be there with only other tourists. Had one of the best desserts of my entire life there - the chocolate Marianne was wonderful. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the comments, Carol, Lori and Joyce! Carol, those mashed potatoes sound incredible, and I adore potatoes!

betsy
