Comments on Hotels in Northern Italy

I'd love to hear your comments on the following hotels, especially on the cleanliness of the room and the quality of the restaurant on premise. Since I started planning our trip rather late this year, I wasn't able to get a booking at many of the establishments recommended by fellow Fodorites. If you have stayed at one the following hotels, I'd love to hear your reviews.

Ortesei - Hotel Grien

Bellagio - Hotel Belvedere (actually I believe this hotel does come highly recommended.)

Asti - Locanda Del Sant Uffizio - this is my "splurge" hotel so if you had a bad experience with the hotel, please let me know!

Monterosso al Mare - Villa Accini

We are leaving in late September. Thanks!

I have seen the first 2 places and think they are good choices. I have never heard of the one in Monterosso. In Asti, have you checked out the Villa Sampaguita---the helpful owner is the reason to stay there.

Thanks, Bob. Unfortunately Villa Sampaguita is booked for the leg of our trip.

Did you stay at the Villa Accini in Moterossa? If so, what did you think of it? I am booked there in April 08

Hello dc:

We had a terrific lunch at the Belvedere on the veranda outdoors. After that, I read some critical comments about the food. I didn't see the rooms but the setting is wonderful. Gradyghost
