StCirq, Dukey1 - priceless examples -- thanks so much!

I guess the comments are either there as a meaningless rant or offering advice.
The obvious fact is Brits generally drink a lot of hot, fresh tea at breakfast. We don't expect people to provide it but if people want advice on how to keep us happy we will tell them. See the same when Germans miss their "ei" |
I stayed at an otherwise unmemorable hotel near CDG that had the breakfast lover's dream: a lobed breakfast buffet with 4 lobes of food -- French, of course, with the usual croissants, pain au chocolat and baguettes; North European, with sausages, cheese, smoked fish, boiled eggs, ham; Anglo-American, with rashers, eggs, American style bacon, and everything else except baked beans on toast; and Japanese, with rice, more fish, soft eggs, perhaps raw eggs, seaweed, pickled vegetables, etc.
It was possible to sample any or all of these. I did, allowing me to skip the "lunch" on the plane home. |
Hey IMD,
How long have you been waiting to use "solipsistic"? :) ....................................... I found this complaint interesting: "The hotel wouldn't let us go on our planned excursion because our TA didn't provide us the proper visa". ((I)) |
