Ann, Truro sounds lovely, at least the Truro on Cape Cod is. That's pretty far away from everything too. If we had more time I'd love to get out there.

You were supposed to come to our GTG in 2012 but had to postpone your trip as I recall, and I know how much I enjoyed meeting the London Fodorites that I did. So much fun ! Fond regards to all.

I don't remember Truro on Cape Cod, to be honest, Nikki. We didn't live in Cornwall at the time we visited NE so it didn't have the same significance for us then, though I do remember going to Barnstable because we used to visit Barnstaple in North Devon a lot at the time.

Truro, Cornwall is in an attractive spot but it's quite pleasant, not much more. There are a few old streets [old meaning Georgian, nothing older than that] including the lovely curved terrace where our offices are, and the cathedral, which dates back about 130 years. but it's in a great position for visiting the rest of Cornwall, and has a lot of good restaurants, a theatre, cinema etc.
