Coming June 11, 2007: New Michelin maps and guides on SD chips
For several years, a viable alternative to printed maps and guides has been <i>Michelin Maps and Route Plans</i>, the software version of their famous paper-based products. The latest in that series, <b>ViaMichelin Navigation 5</b> will be available soon, with all the features of dedicated GPS units - and then some:
GPS support Voice prompted driving directions Runs on Windows PC and some PDAs Integral Michelin Green and Red guides Route finding with automatic recomputing If you buy either of the Europe Zone SDs, you get the entire rest of Europe on a DVD (to load onto your own chips). This looks good, but is it not compatible with Dell Axim? I think my husband is leaning toward the Dell Axim.

Dell quit the Axim business. I think that's a dead end (from the support point of view).

no, only garmin maps work on garmin GPS units.
The Michellin software+maps are for windows OS based handhelds |
And Garmin maps only work on Garmin GPS receivers.
And Michelin maps work on a wide variety of receivers, and a wide variety of receivers support a wide variety of GPS software that's not Garmin. |
