Comfortable Hotel in Barcelona

Greetings
We would much appreciate hotel suggestions in Barcelona.
Just heard the Hotel Constanza will be closed for renovations next May. Now we are looking for something similar in the Eixample or Gotico areas. A mid sized room, en-suite, A/C, preferably with breakfast room, TV, coffemaker and hairdryer, safe and not too noisy. In the $100-200 range?
Something comfortable after the long overseas flight.

If you're not getting answers, sometimes you have to go looking for them yourself...

You might consider the apsis atrium palace..on the Gran Via but no noise inside; two blocks from Placa Catalunya...the breakfast buffet is very extensive and even includes wine/champagne. Modern furnishings and marble baths.

Your question is awfully specific for this forum. Try the hotel reviews section at Trip Advisor which will give you all the information you seek.

Try the H10 chain of hotels. Google for their website. Quite nice, moderate price, good locations in Barca. We stayed at their marina property and had a great time - excellent breakfast buffet was included with the room rate.

Six weeks ago I stayed at the Hotel 1898 at the top of Las Ramblas (not to be confused with Rambla de Catalunya) two minute walk to Aeroport bus stop at Placa Catalunya on Passeig de Gracia, three minute walk to Passeig de Gracia, walking distance to Gaudi Museums and restaurants. You can walk easily in the other direction to the Picasso Museum and to the harbor. If you book weekdays, it should be in your price range. There is a family style restaurant, locals only, when you go out the hotel's front door and walk to the left, on the left side, possibly just a block a way. I hope to return soon! If the prices are too high, I have also heard good things about H10 hotels. Have a great time!

I meant to post website.
I booked through travelocity.com for the best price, but that was six weeks ago.
Orbitz.com may be a better option.

Have you thought of getting an apartment? I went with 4 others over Thanksgiving and rented a 3 BR 2 BA apartment in L'Eixample from Habitat (http://www.habitatapartments.com/) - we rented the Casp, but the Tessa also got great reviews on this site (it was unavailable). We paid 1,000 euros for 5 nights. Our apartment was around the corner from Hotel Costanza. We also had a Washer/Dryer, full kitchen, livingroom, and 2 of the bedrooms had balconies. Pics on the site are great, I stronly recommend it!
