Comfortable bed in Dover
Getting off a cruise and would like to spend day and night in Dover before getting to airport at 2:15 PM at Heathrow next day. Want to see Dover Castle and War Tunnels. Is there any good place to stay that is convenient to Dover Castle and to get to transportation to Heathrow?

We enjoyed Maison Dieu B&B. We had a car. We loved our second trip to Dover Castle but still haven't see the Tunnels on the tour! The first time we chose not to as our time was short; last summer we arrived a bit after noon I think to find all the remaining tours full. Bummed. But the castle itself is wonderful anyway (and we did get into the tunnels, just an abbreviated access). Can't speak to transport to LHR; think there's another thread going (maybe it's even yours--too lazy to look).

Good. Hope it is satisfactory. We did have a car when there the second time so we drove from the B&B to the castle and then to a place for dinner; might want to arrange for taxi as it is a long up and down walk to the castle. Speak with the host/hostess and they will be most helpful.
