Come in...need opinions on this apt. in Paris (www.ourhomeinparis.com)
Hi,
Thanks for all those who responded to my thread about an apt. in Paris with A/C for July. Being pregnant, I just can't risk not having it if it is really hot! I am checking into all the apts. that were suggested to me in that thread.
I found this one (www.ourhomeinparis.com) on VRBO, and it is in the 4th Arr. It's the Studio Apartment Saint Paul one. Would anyone mind taking a look, and letting me know what you think in terms of location? The price is pretty low. I stayed in the 5th Arr. in Feb., and liked it. Will this area be central as well to all the major sites? It's my husband's 1st time in Paris, so we will be hitting all the big sites. This one is available, and being that July is only 2 months away, I want to make a decision soon!
Thanks so much for your help or suggestions!

We (my niece, her two teenage daughters and I)recently returned from Paris where we stayed in the Henri IV 2 bedroom - same owner. Staying in one of these apartment is the best of all worlds. Concierge services are offered by the cheerful staff at the St. Louis Marais hotel where you can leave your bags if the apartment is not ready. Our apartment was tastefully furnished with anything you might need, and a colleague of mine stayed in the apartment you are considering and found it charming, as well. The owner and the staff at the hotel are pleasant to deal with, and being able to use credit cards is a convenient plus.

Thanks for the responses!
iloveparis: I am so glad to hear that you have worked with the owner, and that someone you know stayed there. That is wonderful to hear.
So, this location is central? I loved being in the 5th a couple of months ago, but couldn't find anything there open with AC.

I haven't stayed in that exact apartment, but I've rented two of the owner's other apartments from that site ( the Charlemagne and the Henri IV apartments)
All are located with a few blocks of each other, and I absolutely love the location. There are lots of shops and restaurants, and it's just a stone's throw from the Place des Vosges. We loved being right on the number 1 metro line; it was convenient to everything.
Another great plus is that the owner is terrific to deal with, and his apartments are all beautifully decorated and have everything you'll ever need.
I highly recommend him and his properties.

I think that looks like a very nice apartment for the price, and is reasonably priced, especially with AC.
Yes, it's very central. You were in Paris before and don't know where the St Paul metro or the 4th arrondisement are? Don't you have a map from your trip, if not, you should get one. The apt. website even has a map of Paris as a whole showing you the location on it.

Beachgirl,
The location is perfect. Metro and bus connections to anywhere in Paris are easily accesible. The area is bustling without being overcrowded.
We absolutely loved everything about the experience!
Go for it!

Fantastic location! We stay just a few blocks from the St. Paul Metro. There is a Monoprix near the St. Paul Metro, Place des Vosges and Place Ste. Catherine are close by, and there are many resturants and shops near by. You can easily walk to the Seine, Notre Dame and more. I think you will find it very convenient. IMO a good choice!
