Colmar to Freiburg RegioElsassTicket
 

I am not good with understanding rail tickets. We want to make sure we can leave Colmar by at least 8 am so we can get a good day in Freiburg. Is the RegioElsassTicket a good idea for that? It looks MUCH better than the other train I was pricing (yikes).
We also want to go from Colmar to Riquewihr, Ribbeauville, Basel. Is there a good pass for that or just individual trains?

I took the bus/train one way from Colmar to Freiburg a few years ago - same connection you would take just not the same fare, if you are doing this as a day trip with return.

The schedule I found here shows buses leaving Colmar weekdays at 7:55a and 8:55a, different times Saturday and Sunday. You can stay for the last train/bus from Freiburg at 20:38 weekdays:

The bus from Colmar drops you at the little train station in Breisach, Germany and you take the train (basically a commuter train as I recall) from there to Freiburg. It's a tiny station so very easy to connect from the bus. I don't remember the specifics, but I bought one ticket in Colmar for everything, and it was easy. Freiburg is pretty walkable from the train station.
