collioure to cadaques with Inntravel: advice for flight and travel before
 

Mother and daughter considering an Inntravel walk May 2014 from Collioure, France to Cadaques, Spain. Daughter has not been to Paris. Good ideas on getting from Paris to Collioure ? Or if we skip Paris, where might we fly near Collioure on an international flight and see a little of France? We can fly from Chicago or Mpls. Small towns are fine. We are thinking of returning via Barcelona.

We flew into Montpellier and left from Barcelona, but if we had to do it over we would have flipped it. The most memorable thing was eating zarzuelas along the Coulliore beach, I can still taste it.

Loved Collioure and the beautiful coastal scenery between there and Cadaqués.

To get to Paris, you can fly or take the train from nearby Perpignan.

You may prefer taking the fast train because it departs & arrives in the middle of the city, saving time & airport hassle. TGV tickets are usually available at half price online. We enjoyed Perpignan for a quick overnight stop.

Why not fly into Barcelona, train north to Paris to fly out?

Thanks DAX and MaineGG for the ideas. I am wondering: DAX, why would you flip directions if you did it over ? Did you also do the Inntravel walk ?

The fast train will arrive in the middle of the city (Perpignan) but you'll have to take another train or a bus to get to Collioure.
