Maribel, this is all so helpful to know- thank you! That is a great idea about Tomar. Thankfully we will have two nights in Coimbra. That museum looks so good, so hearing that you enjoyed it, makes me so excited to visit.

Almendres Cromlech is the Portuguese Stonehedge and is older too. It is a must see and is really just a few miles outside of Ebola. The standing stones are very interesting. The short drive is so beautiful, it goes though a cork forest and has gorgeous meadows spangled with wildflowers. There is a visitor center with bathrooms and they sell cork products such as sandals and purses. My wife still regrets not getting a pair of sandals there which she liked a lot; she thought there would be other opportunities in other cities, but she never found a pair she liked as well

Sorry I can’t recommend another beach town. When traveling we don’t look for beach towns. We can visit great beaches in the U.S. so no beach experiences for us while traveling.

Conndog, thank you for sharing! Hearing how much you enjoyed your visit to the standing stones, definitely makes me want to go!

kja, thank you for letting me know about that road. We will need to check and see that it's been repaired before heading out.
