Can anyone recommend a BEAUTIFUL book of Lake como and its surrounding areas? I have looked everywhere. I don't care if I get it by christmas. My sister will be traveling there in June, and she not much of a reader, so I thought a beautiful photo book, but I can't find one.

It's not just Lake Como and although it's a fairly new book, it's pretty hard to find, but perhaps Villas on the Italian Lakes might fit the bill. I have seen it in Brussels and it's pretty luscious, but didn't buy a copy.

"Villas" is not yet available from Amazon BUT if you go to the Amazon website and type in "Lake Como" you'll get a selection of several books which might fit the bill.

Actually, "Villas" was published in 2003.

There is a used copy available through www.amazon.co.uk for GBP 98.01.

The seller (adciezl) is in Wisconsin, but I haven't been able to locate him/her through the usual searches.

Eloise, I said it was fairly new, not brand new. I saw a copy of it in a home design store (Flamant) in Brussels earlier this year.

I used the amazon US site and when I got the "Villas" book description it said it wasn't available but obviously that isn't the case in the UK.
