&quot;<i>I think the Heathrow code wp7162 has expired. I can't get it to work</i>&quot;

I just plugged in the wp7162 code for the Hex discount and it worked fine. What date(s) are you trying to book?

JamilaZ Jan 28th, 2007 06:15 AM

After visiting the Heathrow Express website numerous times, it finally accepted the code. Thanks!!

Now I'm trying to book tickets for friends of mine and the code is not working again!

We bought our Heathrow Express tickets Saturday night for our trip in May. Thanks so much for posting this information.

going_places - Do you know if there was an expiration date with this Heathrow Express code?

sparks Jan 30th, 2007 05:24 AM

Not aure what website to go to for gatwick Express tickets. Went to Raileurope, but couldn't see where I would plug in adiscount number.

JamilaZ Jan 30th, 2007 05:26 AM

Go to www.gatwickexpress.com. On the righthand side there is a space to enter Promotion Code.

I don't know if this offer is still valid, because it's not working for me.

sparks Jan 30th, 2007 05:44 AM

Just bought tickets using the code &amp; going to Gatwickexpress.com. Got 2 one way for 29 pounds. Much cheaper than RailEurope, but not sure I got a discount.

flanneruk Jan 30th, 2007 06:02 AM

Am I missing something here? Walk up to any ticket machine at Gatwick and you'll get a standard return ticket to Victoria AND BACK on Southern for &pound;17.90.

Faff about with promotion codes, book ahead of time and you get a single on the Gatwick Express for &pound;14.50?

Why bother messing about for something that costs more? Why not just buy the cheaper ticket the way we all do?

eaf2007 Jan 30th, 2007 06:28 AM

With the discount codes, a return is 14.90 pounds. THANK YOU to the original poster for sharing this discount code! :)

flanneruk Jan 30th, 2007 06:53 AM

Well I thought that at the beginning of this thread. But now sparks is saying he got two singles for &pound;29

Does Sparks mean 2x2 singles, or have they rumbled this code misuse?

jody Jan 30th, 2007 07:03 AM

Why is it &quot;code misuse&quot;? They offered a reduced fare ticket and people took advantage of it. Was everyone supposed to keep it a secret?

betsytom Jan 30th, 2007 07:18 AM

I don't get it - I enter the code, but price stays exactly the same as without code - that is 14.90 sterling. Am I missing something?

JamilaZ Jan 30th, 2007 09:45 AM

I think the code has expired.

going_places Jan 31st, 2007 05:00 AM

I have no idea when the GEX code expires, but I do know that you must do it as singles. If you put in 2 people you do not get it. To answer the next objection, it is cheaper than Southern and more convenient for a round trip. I can't think why anyone calls it misuse...they offer a promotion so that people will use their service. It isn't theft! Why do you resent it?

going_places Jan 31st, 2007 05:02 AM

Flanner...14.50 is cheaper than 17.90

pkanderson Jan 31st, 2007 08:20 AM

I just got Gatwick Express tickets using code WP8503.

JamilaZ Jan 31st, 2007 08:33 AM

pkanderson - Do you know of a different code for Heathrow Express?

betsytom Jan 31st, 2007 11:09 AM

Thoanks - that latest code worked for me. By the way, with the code for 50% off, this is the cheapest option for peak travel (7.45 vs. 8.90 on regular train). If you're travelling off-peak and you have a network card, tickets are 5.90 each.
