Coco, here we come!

I hope Coco is snoozing away right now but will see this in the morning. (I'll e-mail her, too, of course.)

Three friends and I are off to France tomorrow. Picking up the car at CDG (thanks to those who helped me decide on that)and driving to our rental house just west of Beaune. I hope the fact that we're now arriving around 10:00 instead of the original 7:40 doesn't mean too much more traffic around Paris. Not much luck on the weather, it seems, as rain is in the forecast for the entire week, but, hey, it's French rain! I'm sure we'll have a good time, no matter. Looking forward to meeting Coco on Friday, but sorry to miss Ira and hdm.

After the first week the menfolk are coming home and we two "girls" are taking off for a week in Alsace near Colmar. That should be fun, too.

Thanks again for all your help and I hope your travels are all you would wish them to be. A bientôt!

Bon Voyage Betty1! I'll be in Dijon June 12 and I'm staying at Coco's. I'll be looking forward to hear about your trip and your rental in Beaune. I love Alsace.

susanna May 17th, 2007 06:43 PM

I wish that I was going to see Coco on Friday.
Give her a big hug for me and have a wonderful time on your trip.
I too am a big fan of Alsace, hope you will be too.
Bon Voyage

I am jealous. I hope there will be some fodorites in Dijon in September.

PalenQ May 20th, 2007 06:43 AM

I'll be there at Coco's on Sep 31 - she said it was free (gratis) and well as free that day may return on Nov 31

cocofromdijon May 22nd, 2007 11:04 AM

I had a call from Betty a couple of hours ago, she was in Flavigny sur Ozerain and the streets were very quiet. I'm sure it is a lot busier on week ends!
She's very happy with the weather which is so great now 8-)
She confirmed our GTG on Friday :-)

starrsville Jun 4th, 2007 10:32 PM

hdm, are you reporting in anytime soon?

cocofromdijon Jun 5th, 2007 02:11 AM

Hi starrsville, hdm is still in Nice, she left Dijon last Friday. Our GTG with Ira and his Lady Wife was great. I'm waiting for Ira to send some pics he took to add them to a video I'll put on youtube or dailymotion to show the fodorites.

Also, I wonder if Betty is still in Alsace.
I'll meet Cimbrone next Tuesday when Micheline is arriving on the same day.

Mideba is staying at the apartment right now, Dijon is so busy with Fodorites that is great! :-d

Betty1 Jun 5th, 2007 04:12 AM

Bonjour, Coco! I'm home now. Got back Sunday. I looked for a post from you almost as soon as I got home and this one did not turn up when I searched on your name. (Didn't think to search on my own name!)

I'll write a more detailed trip report in a few days, but for right now, I'd just like everyone to know that Coco is as charming, kind and generous with her time as others have indicated. My little group was thrilled to meet her in Dijon and we spent a good portion of the day with her seeing the sights through a native's eyes. Merci beaucoup, Coco! (I'll e-mail you soon.)

cocofromdijon Jun 5th, 2007 05:25 AM

Bonjour Betty! I hope you had a great stay in Alsace with Meredith and a safe trip back home.
I'm looking forward to reading your trip report! :-)
à bientôt

Bonsoir fodorites. I'm lucky enough to be here in Dijon staying in Coco's beautiful apartment and enjoying her wonderful hospitality. It's exceeded my expectations even after reading the great reviews. I'll start my trip report soon but for now I'm going to enjoy the lovely city on a beautiful evening.

Mideba (not hdm).

How do I change the screen name ?

cocofromdijon Jun 5th, 2007 11:03 PM

Hi Miriam, what a suprise! I was about to write you to see if everything is all right. :-)
You can see "log out" at the top of the page next to the screen name.
Talk to you later...
