Many Americans kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle,a few miles from Cork City.If you have a full day ashore I would favour spending the day in the Killarney National Park about 60 miles west of Cork-probably Ireland`s most beautiful countryside

I remember taking a local ferry from Cobh to Kinsale which was a nice experience on a beautiful day. It was a 5-10 minute crossing. Kinsale is a lovely town. However, you might be really tired of water crossings.<BR>

I may be wrong but there's something odd about the questions from Victoria (bookdoctor3) - she has asked a number of totally unrelated questions. I don't want to see the helpful people here wasting their time.
