Cobh Ireland
We there for one day off cruise ship. What is there to see and do?
thanks
Vicki

The Queenstown Story and St. Colman's Cathedral. Walking tour of town.
|
The museum showing the emigration of the Irish to America and Australia is very interesting

Many Americans kiss the Blarney Stone at Blarney Castle,a few miles from Cork City.If you have a full day ashore I would favour spending the day in the Killarney National Park about 60 miles west of Cork-probably Ireland`s most beautiful countryside
|
I remember taking a local ferry from Cobh to Kinsale which was a nice experience on a beautiful day. It was a 5-10 minute crossing. Kinsale is a lovely town. However, you might be really tired of water crossings.
I may be wrong but there's something odd about the questions from Victoria (bookdoctor3) - she has asked a number of totally unrelated questions. I don't want to see the helpful people here wasting their time.

And the Titanic Exhibit on the waterfron is really good.

Thank-you for all the great ideas. With 5 ports on upcoming cruise it is nice of you all to help.
Victoria
