CNN Article..."Italy: 6 ways to spend the night"

Just came across this article in my research.

Some of these things sound very interesting...The Farm, the R&B, and the Monastery sound particularly of interest.

Thoughts? Experiences? Tips?

Haven't tried anything but locandas, hotels, and villas, but it's an interesting article; thanks for posting.

B&B are good value, stayed in one in Gravina. Agrotourismo varies a lot and tends to be in the country. Monestries are good throughout Europe

I've stayed in agriturismos (farm stays), B&Bs and monasteries and found them all pleasant (and inexpensive) alternatives to hotels.

We've stayed mostly in apartments in towns, which we really like to do because we have more space and more privacy. (I guess they would fall into the "villas" category in this article.

We stayed in one agriturismo about 20 minutes outside orvieto and found it very limiting because of the lack of choice in restaurants and the 15 min. drive to get to a grocery.
