Club ABC Tours

We are going to Switzerland and the Lake region of Northern Italy in June on Club ABC Tours. Has anyone travelled with this tour group and how was it?

We went to Paris in March, 2000, and London last month with ABC. Although we toured independently, ABC arranged the air, hotel and transfers. They were extremely efficient and helpful. We wouldn't hesitate to travel with them again.

We used ABC last summer for a trip to London and the Cotswolds, similarly touring on our own, but with ABC arranging the hotels, air and ground travel. There were two instances in which minor glitches occurred but they were put right immediately, and to our benefit: at our London hotel, rooms as decribed were not available so we were given a luxury apartment with kitchen. Return from the Cotswolds to Heathrow was provided by private car rather than van because of a misunderstanding with the hotel. ABC provides the perfect opportunity to plan your own tour but with the reassurance of a travel agent handling the reservations. I should also say that in both locations there was ready assistance provided for those who preferred some guidance in selecting sights and activities. We'd gladly use them again.

Does Club ABC Tours have a web site?
If, so, what is it?
Thank you.

We took a Club ABC tour a few years ago, traveling to Milan-Sorrento-Rome-Florence-Venice-Milan. The trip was great and afforded plenty of "alone time", permitting us to take long walks, visit special places, and dine alone. Yet the trip also gave us expert tours of Pompeii and the Vatican, as well as the expert advice of a professional tour guide. We took many of the optional side trips: Amalfi and Positano, Pompeii (see above), Capri, Venice, etc. Hotel rooms were great throughout, breakfasts were wonderful as were the occasional lunches and dinners. Laura, our tour guide, was absolutely first class.
