Clothing for trip in August 2006
We leave for Ireland on 8/16. Just need to know what clothing is appropriate (weather wise) for August. We will be there through the end of August. Thanks.

Go into www.weather.com and click on europe or world, I can't remember what it is and put in dublin, ireland or wherever you are going to be. I am going in Sept. and plan on bringing a jacket for sure. Enjoy your trip. This will be our 4th and I can't wait.

Plan on wearing layers. In July we had days we needed shorts, days we needed long pants and a sweater or sweatshirt, and days when I wanted my capris!
If you have any zip-off pants those would be great.
Heavy jeans can be too hot. Plus they take up too much room. Skip those.
Pack a light-weight waterproof windbreaker for the rain.
Some nights I was roasting and we threw off the blankets. Other nights I was chilled and was glad I had brought a pair of long-sleeved satin pajamas. And this all happened in 2 weeks in July! August should be similar I believe.
