Clothes to wear in Milan this June & July
Hello all,
I am going to Milan next week and will be there for 2 months for an official trip. This is my first trip to Europe. I am actually quite unsure about my clothing. What should I take? full sleeve t-shirts or half sleeve t-shirts. I have a plan to visit London, Paris and Munich on my way back to home. So, I should take clothes keeping that in mind. Please suggest me what should be my attire?? |
Should I take any jacket?

We would love to help but we know nothing about you -
man or woman? young or older? fat or thin? What kind of official trip, diplomatic, business, or other? Lucky you, two months in Italy! And yes, take a jacket. |
Tee shirts don;t sound much like an official trip.
Agree that we need to know more about the trip. If this is for some sort of business, europeans in business tend to dress more formally than do people at most places in the US. And a bunch of tee shirts - no matter the length of the sleeves will make it. |
Hello,
thank you for your replies. I am a male. 25 years old. I work in a software firm. Will be working with our onshore team in Italy. I have plan to visit rome, paris ,munich and london. . I would love to wear t-shits while travelling. On office premises, of course ,I will wear formal shirts. I am not sure whether I should take summer dress or winter dress. Please help me with my apparel selection. |
Summer ! It can be VERY hot in Milan.
|
Hot in Rome, too.
|
Summer. It's summer time in all the places you mention. Hotter in the places that are further south.
|
Check weather.com for the cities you will be visiting. Most will be quite hot for the time you will be there, especially in Italy. Tee shirts should be fine for your visit.
|
You will find winter in June and July only in the southern hemisphere. Even Scandinavia and Switz has summer (except 12,000 foot Mountain tops). Expect temps in high 80s and 90s - although in London and Munich you may well get 70s.
