closest Monoprix to Ecole Militaire??

I need to know where the closest Monoprix is to the Ecole Militaire metro station. Also, is the Tati branch near Bon Marche anything like it?

Great minds departmetn and all - I did exactly that, searched fro Monoprix in the 7th and got no result. There is a Franprix at 11 rue de Champ de Mars if that helps.
As for the Tati question - if you mean is Tati like Bon Marche the answer is an easy "non". If you mean is it like Monoproix - not exactly, rather a rung or two down but closer than to Bon Marche.

Hi A,

Enter "monoprix" at www.pagesjaunes.com

I think it works better with general categories..I mean, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes...I have still not confirmed if they are accurate (I'm preparing my Paris trip)

There is a Monoprix in the Passy district (16th right bank downriver a bit and opposite Eiffel Tower) It is a short walk from the Metro station Passy. Also the Franprix stores are food stores unlike the Monoprix which is similiar to the American Wal-Mart or K-Mart and contain a food store also.

Sorry for the confusion...was asking if Tati is anything like Monoprix. Thanks for all the advice.

There nearest Monoprix would be at Metro: la Motte Picquet-Grenelle on blvd Grenelle at rue du Commerce. Or on the other side of the 7th where rue de Rennes meets blvd St Germain...

Toupary Jan 21st, 2007 10:40 AM

There is a good Monoprix at the intersection of Avenue de la Motte-Piquet and boulevard de Grenelle. La Motte-Piquet-Grenelle is the Métro stop after Ecole Militaire on Ligne 8.

Londonlover Jan 21st, 2007 10:40 AM

There's a monoprix across from the McDonalds near the Lamotte Picque Grenelle metro stop, which is one south of Ecole Militaire

Londonlover Jan 21st, 2007 10:41 AM

three responses at once, heh

LarryJ Jan 21st, 2007 10:43 AM

I almost forgot there is a Monoprix one stop beyond Ecole Militaire on Metro line 8 at La Motte Picquet Grenelle. The store is across the street from the station.

The Tati stores are nothing but nothing like Monoprix. The Tati stores are super cheap and sell really cheap stuff. You won't find any in the 7th.

Not bad!

The one at LaMotte-Piquet-Grenelle has an address on rue de Commerce, but you can't miss it.

The one on rue de Rennes is quite a hike from there.

I typed monoprix paris 75007 into Google, punched "Maps" and got ten hits, corroborating the above advice.

Google is your friend. It does km/miles, celsius/fahrenheit and GBP to USD. The map function can be used to find a hotel, a McDonalds, or a whorehouse (I'm told).

YEA!!Wow, so much response in such a small amount of time. Thanks to ALL again. I know the Grenelle ,Motte Picquet area a little. This will be perfect.

anyone can tell me if the two monoprix stores mentioned here are still around?
i am getting to my apartment (@ ave de ka motte-piquet) at 7 on a Saturday, need somewhere to get some groceries....

You will now find in Paris both Monoprix stores and Monop' stores. Monop' is an abbreviated version of a Monoprix supermarket, generally open until midnight. (Monoprix stores close between 21:00 and 22:30 depending on the location.)

"Monop" is the nickname that a lot of people use for Monoprix, just as McDo is the nickname for McDonald's.

3sica Mar 25th, 2009 10:50 PM

between 2100 to 2230 is fine...midnight even better!
just need to know where the stores are, since I do need to get some stuff before Sunday, since I hear many stores are closed?

hmmm Mar 25th, 2009 11:58 PM

There is a feature on the website (monoprix.fr) that displays a map of its stores closest to any address you select.

Enjoy your trip.

hmmm... i did try it, but it is unfortunately in French... which i know nothing off :P
