Clocks go back on Sunday

Just a quick reminder that summer time ends this weekend in Europe and the clocks go back at 3 am Sunday morning.
I think the US is a week later so wouldn't want anyone visiting Europe right now being caught out!

Thanks for the reminder! I haven't forgotten the nasty surprise in Rio when I was an hour later than I expected with a plane to catch because the hotel said nothing.

This is a timely reminder.

I found two issues in this area.

For the locals working at hotels, this is such a routine matter that they don't even think there are guests not familiar with how the time change works and therefore feel no need to mention such "obvious" matters. At perceptive hotels with a lot of foreign visitors, I have seen notes posted inside the elevators.

Many first timers from the U.S. I have traveled with have unwavering belief that the rest of the world work like the U.S. They could not imagine the time changes on different dates outside the U.S. It was incredible for them to find out that time changes on Friday morning in Israel.

I double check upcoming time changes at http://www.timeanddate.com/.

Once again Europe falls behind the times... in the U.S.A!

I remember being on duty in the army when the time changed.
So I spent 3 hours on duty instead of 2.
It felt so unfair...

The year before Rio my Viennese B&B had signs everywhere. I had checked a few days ago, but then forgotten.

London only 4 hours jet lag - bout the same as LA or SF from NYC.
