Hi Susan! Next summer, we're doing France with my daughters...one graduates from high school and the other 8th grade, so this is maybe the last year for the "BIG" trip. Rick and I have been researching for a month now, and have decided to spend 3 days in Paris, then rent a houseboat and cruise down the channels in either Burgundy or Franche-Compte. We haven't yet picked the destination, I want to pick a route with few locks, but charming villages. I'm not a city person in Europe! Let me know what your plans are!

Linda,
How fun! I would like to do one of those barge trips myself one day. After seeing Rudy Maxa's show on the Dordogne a year ago (and after reading all that people have said on this board), it just has to be my next destination.
I'm with you on cities (except for Paris -- love Paris). Prague would also be an exception (a city I have yet to visit).
I remember from another post that we also share an interest in Mendocino.... have yet to go to that winery on the Pacific coast though. I also see that you are a musician.... so am I.
