Cliff walk - Cap Ferrat
 

Sometimes I read tour literature for ideas. Saw a mention of a 'cliff walk' around Cap Ferrat. Anyone familiar with?...... Easy to find?

While the walk around Cap Ferrat is pleasant and good exercise I'd not call it "cliff walk" as the path is mostly, if not totally, more down at sea level, at least all the stretches I am familiar with. Cap d'Antibe has some lovely craggy cliff walks around the south end. Main path is narrow in spots but not too challenging. Access is not terribly well marked but there are numerous paths to be found that lead to the coastal path.

My husband loved the pictures. Thanks for the link. He's starting to become more interested in this trip.

While the walk around Cap Ferrat is nice, it is certainly not a cliff walk. And for most of the time you will have to keep your eyes on the path instead of the scenery since the locals use it as a dog toilet. A terrible shame; I walked there with my 3 kids, and had to continuously point out dog turds to prevent them (and me) from stepping in them. The path around Cap d'Antibes is more rugged, and has less dog mess too (though it is never completely absent in France unfortunately).

I guess the answer to my own question should have been obvious: point body toward ocean and look for a path. I think I just assumed land along the shore was privately owned with few access points. As for the dog stuff, Alaska has something like 3 dogs for every person. In our neighborhood, one is supposed to scoop and bag it. I've never understood why, if we can be out there at 10pm when it's -25 bagging after our Scottie, other dog owners, ......well.
