Any recommendations for B&B or hotel in Londonderry--close to Claudy, if possible?

I don't know Claudy, but if you want accommodations in central Derry, try http://www.thesaddlershouse.com

They own two B&Bs and two self catering properties. We stayed in the Cathedral Cottage -- beautiful restoration of an 18th century cottage. Very highly recommended.
