well, who says that we're just wasting our time here on fodors?

I just don't get why you think staying out at Clapham Common is such a savings. I stay here: http://www.ridgemounthotel.co.uk/ which is not that much more than your B&B and is walking distance to the British Museum, Covent Garden, the London Library and loads of pubs and restaurants. That saves a great deal of time, and the money you would otherwise have to spend on transport. Plus you get a full English breakfast instead of continental.

You say you're unfamiliar with London. Perhaps you don't realize just how big it is.

I did contact the B&B and they corrected the mistake. By the way, I'm still looking finding more possibilites, some on airbnb in the central part of the city. Thanks for all the responses
