Cinque Terre section closed?

Have heard that a section between Marinola & Corneglia of the C5 trail is now closed because of a landslide - and they are going to have to rebuild it.

Can anyone confirm this, or know if they have an idea when it may reopen?

That's sad to hear! I love the harder, more scenic walks between Monterosso/Vernazza and Vernazza/Coniglia the best. Have a great trip!!!

Just wondering if the trail is still closed and if there is any update as to when it might be repaired.

Does anyone know if the cinque terre train is still closed?

I was there on May 7 and it was open between Manarola and Corniglia

When did this happen? We were in CT June 23 - 25 of this year, took the train from La Spezia (where we were staying)to Monterosso, then hiked back to Marinola. Next day we took the train to Corniglia and hiked to Vernazza, then train back to La Spezia. No problems or closed trails (or trains) on either day.

I think it was only closed during winter. We were there in mid January and it definitely was closed then - very disappointing.
