Cinque Terre rental for six couples
Can anyone suggest a villa with reasonably easy access to the Cinque Terre area which could accomodate six couples? We would like at least four bathrooms and a full kitchen.
Thank you. |
Have you checked slowtrav? The CT seems to be more about small hotels/B&B's than villas although I'm sure there a few.

You might find it a good idea to look at the Holiday Homes website, and especially focus on the town of Moneglia, which is just a stone's throw by train from le Cinque Terre. Also remember that the actual towns of the le Cinque Terre are very small, so if you were able to locate two villas in the same town, you would easily be able to walk between them for group dinners or breakfasts. Most villas in the region have outdoor eating areas, but if you need a dining table big enough for 12 people, you need to nail that down before you book.
|
Another thing you need to nail down is what kind of beds are in the larger villas. Very often, villas that sleep as many as 12 have bunk beds in some rooms. You might do best to rent more than one villa.

Does it have to be in the CT? We travel every year as a group of 6 couples and we had the most fabulous villa 2 years ago in San Miniato. Its a small hilltop village in tuscany. We all did the CT before we met at the villa for a week. We always have a villa with 6 bedrooms and en suites - this one didn't disappoint. You can Google it - Villa Contessa Mariana - beween Lucca, Firenze & San Gimiano! Good luck.

Here is another option-
I stayed at this agriturismo located just outside of Sarzana and thought it was lovely. You could rent several apartments. http://www.anticocasalesarzana.com/eng/ristorante.htm If you stay here, you will need a car. You can drive to the train station in Sarzana (a 10 minute drive) and park at the train station. The train to the Cinque Terre villages is just a 15 minute commute. Sarzana is a great town. You can also use the car to explore Lerici, Portovenere, Tellaro and NW Tuscany. |
