Cinque Terre Italy
Has anyone ever stayed in the Albergo Luna di Marzo in Riomaggiore/Volastra? I need to find a hotel for my boss and I want to place her somewhere nice. Any reviews would be greatly appreciated!!!

The nicest place in the CT is the Porta Roca in Monterosso. However, I like the Grand Hotel Portovenere in that lovely village.

Volastra is not one of the Cinque Terre, and there is another Cinque Terre village between Volastra and Riomaggiore.
Have a look at this map: http://www.ilvigneto5terre.com/fra/images/map.gif The Cinque Terre are the five villages that are directly on the water. |
5 villages of the Cinque Terre
North to South Monterosso Vernazza Corniglia Manarola Riomaggiore La Spezia is south and a popular place to drop your car and "train in" to the CT towns. Lavanto is north and also a popular place to drop the car and catch the train. In 4 trips to the CT region, my favorite hotel is Hotel Villa Steno in the town of Monterosso. I have never stayed at the Porta Roca but I have looked inside and it also looks quite nice (albeit a little more pricey). I do not think you could go wrong with either hotel |
I have stayed several times at a hotel in Monterosso called La Spiaggia
La Spiaggia Hotel Andrea Poggi Via Lungomare, 98 19016 Monterosso al Mare Cinque Terre, Italia Tel: 39-0187-81-75-67 You can find their website as well. I also sent all my friends and family there this summer...lots of them...and everyone had the same amazing experience! Hope this helps...plus it is right on the beach!! |
