Right! It's actually called the Golfo del Paradiso.
But I think one of the most fun things about Italy is that no matter where you go in Italy, you feel like life just doesn't get any better than this! |
We will be in Manarola next weekend. I really hope the trails reopen. Is there a website that tells when they are open or closed?

We will be staying in Levanto for 2 nights in July. what is there to do there such as restaurants or walking trails that will lead to other towns. Is there a direct train that will take us to Genoa from there?

Cornelius, you can use trenitalia website to check out direct trains from Genova to Levanto. Genova has two train stations, and you are more likely to find a one-seat ride from Genova Prinicipe, although many do leave from Genova Brignole.
Plenty of restaurants in Levanto, and if you would like a livelier scene, hop the train the nearby Sestri Levante, all flat, with two fun beaches (one a very scenic cove) and enjoy the cafe life or no end of octopus dishes for lunch or dinner at Polpo Mario. http://www.polpomario.it/dove_siamo.html |
