Cinque Terre base and logistics for 2 nights, 1 day?

We are travelling from northern Tuscany by car towards Cinque Terre, stopping to see Pisa and Lucca along the way, probably arriving late afternoon in Cinque Terre area.
Should we base ourselves in Levanto, leave car there, then use train where we can't hike? Or would it be better to stay in Vernazza or Manorola? If so, where do we leave the car for the 2 nights? Proximity within walking distance to great restaurants is a factor.

Where do you go after 5 Terre? We turned in the Car in Pisa and finished the trip by train. If you will need it afterwards, I believe MOnterossa has some hotels with parking not too far:

Stay in Cinque terre if you can!

With a car your best base will be Monterosso or Levanto rather than Vernazza or Manarola, which I believe have extremely limited parking.

We drove to Monterossa al Mare and spent two nights at the Hotel Villa Steno. Then drove to Venice. Hotel has parking and a great location overlooking the bay. Easy walk - 5 mins to the beach.
