Cinque Terre
We will bearriving in the Cinque Terre region by train from Florence and are interested in comments about where may be the best place to stay for 3 days.
|
Monterroso in a B&B called A Ga Du Gigante. Eat in their restaurant called Miky, I personally think it is the best in that area. The hike between Monterroso and Vernazza (sp) is a little bit hard but worth it. The view is just beautiful as you are approaching Vernazza. Have a great time, I hope you will love Cinque Terre as much as we did.

Hi novir,
We loved our stay in Vernazza at Albergo Barbara. It is right on the breakwater and there are several restaurants right on the water...just wonderful for dinners. No matter where you stay be sure to read my post about the trains in the CT. There are some very strict rules to follow when riding the trains and mistakes can cost you dearly. The CT was one of the highlights of our trip last year. It is like nothing else we encountered in Europe. If you have time take the boat from village to village for a totally different perspective of the villages. Have fun, Michele |
Thank you for your prompt responses!
We stayed in Monterosso and found it a good base for seeing the famous five! |
