Cinque?

I have not read much about touring Cinque Terra on this post. Would anyone like to comment- pro or con?

We followed some of Rick Steves suggestions and loved it. We were there in May and saw very few people on the trail itself. I'm way out of shape so it wasnt easy but it was beautiful and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Cheers, the turnip

I really enjoyed Cinque also. We were there 3 days and stayed in Manarola and saw the othe towns via ferry, rail, and even the easy hike. It's beautiful!

Try searching for Cinque TerrE and you might have more luck.

Enter "Cinque Terre" in the search box and you'll get a lot of helpful threads, full of useful information.

Cinque Terre is incredibly beautiful. Follow LucieV's advice. I planned most of our time in that area based on info from this forum. The scenery is amazing. I want to go again. PJK

Rick Steve's Italy video from the Best 0f Travels in Europe series actually has a good segment on the Cinque Terre. That DVD is no longer in print, but you may be able to find one.

Any suggestions for a 3* or 4* hotel or B&B, preferably on the beach, in the vicinity of CT? Planning 25th Anniv. trip in Sept. We will have a car.
