Glad you had a very good trip, Mimi--how did you like Au Petit Marguery? Did you have the sautéed wood mushrooms? Game?

I enjoyed your report too! Fabulous food, equally fabulous friends and French fashion a wicked combination

Hmm, insect blouse from Zara? Google came up with this...

http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/store...ECTS%2BT-SHIRT

It's not black or sheer though. I did check Zara International so I think they blouse you saw could have been from a previous season or no longer available.

I forgot to add, I bought a cuff bracelet in lucite (?)
that was in leopard print for 3 euros at the L'Algerie
market

Cigale, the lucite bracelet is nice find.
I'm into animal prints right now; and the whole colorful floral/jungle exotic print mish-mash. Not so fond of snake print though!

Pepper, the Gardner Prince is still on the lower floor.
Underhill, it was not on the menu. The place is romantic (sigh!)

I once lost a bracelet in Paris - somewhere between the Opera Garnier and Au Petit Riche. After the initial reaction of being upset/annoyed/etc., I just decided to think of it as leaving a piece of myself in Paris.

Thanks for posting - sounds like you had a wonderful trip.

Mimi, thanks for a great trip report. It sounds like you had a lovely trip and that you packed an awful lot into a week. Sorry about the ring.

Welcome back.

thanks toupary, I thought of you as we ate at the Flore
The ring would be worth alot more these days but it wasn't the value as much as the memory. It was custom made for me.

I'm glad you went back there. We had fun that day -- and night.

I know what you mean, as I've lost several pieces of jewelry over the years, including a breakin where they got almost everything. I felt as if someone had stolen all my memories.

great, fun report but how sad the losses, especially of the ring. My goodness.

Please tell me if the blouse that is posted is the one you are looking for? We have tons of Zara here, of course, so maybe I could find it for you.

What a fun report--except for the lost ring et al. Thanx for including the current look--will do my best to get into the skinny jeans when we go shortly, but I'll never have those French magically lithe hips. Any other fashion notes to share? Glad your trip was such a good one.

RobynFrance, the flower prints were everywhere in the shops.
Blouses, dresses, shorts, pants. Jeans in all colors, Pastels very big. Yellow and orange were hot. Hip length trench coats
Wedgies, ballerina flats, bags, bags, clutch, cross body
in yummy colors. Can't say I liked the return of the daisy dukes that I saw. But on skinny preteens with black tights they look fine.

Mimi, the blouse we saw did have a black collar. That's the one. She said she also bought it in white.

you're right, Miki!
Grasshopper, I hoped to see some
on some clothing but birds, beetles, butterflies
prevailed. I never asked you how you chose your name?
