Ciclovia Aida
Starting to plan our next cycling holiday. https://www.biroto.eu/en/find-cycle-...d-tours-on-map gives some great routes and I wanted to know if anyone knows anything about this route "Aida" which goes from Turin to Venice and further. We would probably take a train to Turin and cycle to Venice or Urdine and might hire or take bikes. I know the route is relatively new.

Looks very interesting for people who like scenic untouristy small and big Italian towns.
If you like stunning landscapes, you could include the hills/mountains of the Biellese and Valsesia-Lake Orta-Lake Maggiore-Lake Lugano-Lake Como-Bergamo-Lake Iseo-Lake Garda as well as Chioggia and the Ilsalnds of Venice (Chioggia - Santa Maria del Mare - Lido di Venezia - Punta Sabbioni - Lido di Jesolo .... Once at Udine, a detour via Kobarid and the Soca Valley would be nice too. https://www.aidainbici.it/. |
I've cycled most (but not all) of the southerley Milan to Venice route and indeed the Po valley down towards Bologna, this Aida route is a new designation.
