Christmas in Prague

I see there have been a few inquiries like this in years past but nothing too recent.

My family is interested in spending Christmas and New Years in Prague (Some members will be coming from Europe and some from the US).

Can anyone recommend accomodations for a group of 6-8 adults.

Ideally we would like to avoid staying in separate hotel rooms- too expensive and not intimate enough.

Anyone out there have experience with this?

Thanks.

I used http://www.inyourpoicket.com, then Prague, then hotels, then hostels, and found no places with 8-bed rooms, but plenty with quads: Boathouse, Elf, Junior Hostel, Klub Habitat Hostel , Sir Toby's and Travellers' Hostel - Penzion Dlouhá

The best I know of is Penzion Balbin. It is a small pension with a couple of rooms that each could accommodate half of the group. The prices are very reasonable, the buffet breakfast is very good, rooms are clean and have shower/toilet. It is 5-10 minute walk to just about anywhere you want to go.

Try www.travel.cz or www.marys.cz -they rent apartments to tourists. You can get a few flats in one apartment building. Some of them have 3 bedrooms. Have fun!
