Christmas Eve

Has anyone tried to make a reservation at Violon d'Ingres for Christmas Eve dinner? I have emailed and heard nothing yet. I know its a bit far ahead but I have always booked about this early and would hate to miss dining there. I suppose its possible that they are not doing dinner this year, but i would need to make other plans in that case.

Thank you for your advice in advance......Vicki

Violon is open for Christmas Eve. You can see the menu on their website, too.

I dine there often and I will be arriving in Paris on 12/23 for a 2 month stay.

Better hurry with your reservation. You may be too late!!

When did you email? Generally speaking, French businesses don't answer emails immediately.

Give it a day or two then telephone.

Thanks both Joan and Cathinjoetown, I sent the original message on the 1st and just resent it. I know it can take awhile for them to respond , just getting a little nervous! i've left it a bit later than usual. If I don't hear in a couple of days I will call. This will be my fourth Christmas eve there and would hate to dine elsewhere.
Joan ,you are right the menu looks great as usual!

Thanks again, Vicki

If you don't hear from Violon, let me know. I always do my reservations with an email to Catherine.

Yes, I will be enjoying my Paris stay..always do. Havve great Christmas plans with Paris friends and we also have theatre plans on 12/27 for American in Paris. Lots of fun ahead and good dining!

Thank you, Joan. Actually I think you contacted Catherine for me another time to secure a reservation . I still haven't heard but will give it a couple of days. I did say in my second email that either Christmas eve or day would be fine

Thanks again

Vicki

Hi Vicki,

Let me know if you need me to contact Catherine. I don't want to post her email address here for all to see, but if you just tell me the name the reservation needs to be under, along with number of people and preferred time. I would suggest 8:30 to 9:00 to be with the other Parisians. Early reservations will be for the non Parisians.

I would normally be there too, but am spending evening with Paris friends and they will be doing the cooking on Christmas Day in my apartment!!

I use them all the time. I always compliment them on their great service. You may not know it but you can make arrangements to use them around town, too instead of a taxi, if you were thinking of using one. I have my reservations with them for my upcoming stay.

Glad you received your reservation for Violon. You will enjoy, I know!

a bientot..

Joan
