Christening gift from Vatican?

Any suggestions for a Christening gift for our granddaughter? We will be in Rome shortly before her baptism and I was wondering if there are any gifts we could get at the Vatican and have blessed by the Pope? Thanks!
Sara

Hello sara, my first thought is Rosary Beads. My daughter still has the ones her greatgrandfather gave her.

I agree with the rosary suggestion. Another possibility might be a medal with the child's patron saint/or her "name" saint.

The Ancora gift shop on Via della Conciliazione in front of St. Peter's has a vast selection of gifts. At the end of the Wednesday Papal Audience and the Sunday blessing at noon, the Pope does bless articles that you have with you.

There are also many beautiful holy water fonts, for the bedroom wall (if you're Catholic!). Or a crucifix --- there are many different styles, such as the Franciscan, or the Benedictine style. Once you look, you'll see all sorts of possiblities.

There are 2 Savelli religious shops by St. Peter's. The larger one is to the left of the square, just outside the columns on the corner. Here's a link to their online shopping, but they have many more items in the store.
