choose between 2 Amsterdam hotels
 

I have the opportunity to stay in either the Pulitzer or the Grand Westin Demeure in Amsterdam. Both are deluxe and I'm looking for suggestions as to which to choose. Help!

just spent two days at the pulitzer and loved it. i'd go back there in a minute. great neighborhood for walking -- just strolls along the canals or to any of the major sites. food was quite good, garden very pleasant, room delightful, service effecient. there was some rennovation going on however which could be annoying. ask. i've never stayed at the westin so can't compare. <BR>

The Westin Grand Demeure is now part of the Sofitel chain. I have stayed there many times and it is my favorite hotel in Amsterdam. The location is good, rooms spacious and well decorated, restaurant is excellent,and has a good location.

I also would go back to the Pulitzer in a second. The service was A-1 and I loved their breakfasts. Sounds like you can't go wrong with either.
