chelsea flower show,when is it and how do i get there from london?
 

I have heard of the Chelsea flower show and I would love to go, planning a trip to London, and how do I get there from here, so to say..

Early June every year. It's in central London, so close you can walk.

The Chelsea flower show is actually on at the end of May, (this year it ran from 23rd-26th May),it is held in the grounds of the Royal hospital at Chelsea. The first two days are for Royal Horticultural Society members only then it is open to the general public. Check out the RHS web site at www.rhs.org.uk for more details.

Wonderful show but only for those who love being in overcrowded facilities.

Went to the Chelsea tis year--in the rain, so it was even more crowded than usual.But it was quite an event and worth doing at least once. Next time,however, I'd spend the extra money and join the RHS to go on the members' days, which could be less crowded. I got my tickets through Firstcalltickets on the web and found their service very satisfactory. They mailed the tickets about three weeks before a friend and I left for a Holland tour and a London-on-our-own week. We took a couple day trips to gardens in Kent and the Cotswolds with a group called Gentle Journeys, which also has a web site. English friends tell us that the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show is better than the Chelsea. Can't comment on that, tho.
