Check in at airport / limo services

How early do you have to check in at the airport? Is it 3 hours ahead like in the States? Which limo service do you recommend? It seems to be about the same price as a taxi , and certainly more convenient! Thanks, Maye

Hi

Call the airport.

Quoted times and actual times depend on the airport.

The larger the airport the longer it takes plane to taxi, and vice versa.

Recent examples .........

Nimes............ 30 mins
Stansted ........ 60 mins (or more !)
Atlanta.......... 120 mins

Peter
http://tlp.netfirms.com

Hi,
As it is a European flight( Lufthansa from Venice) the minimum time to check in should be 45 minutes to 1 hour- check with the airline .If travelling back to the US you should be able to get your bags checked all the way through and will connect in Germany (usually Frankfurt or Munich).
If flying non stop from europe to the US/Canada/ Intercontinental airlines recomend a minimum of 2-3hours

Regards
TBS

When we flew into Rome last year we use
LIMOSERVICEROME--

website:www.limoservicerome.com--

then email Andrea at:[email protected]

His people are wonderful- they will ve able to pick you up at your hotel-in Mercedes Station wagon with an English speaking driver that does NOT drive like Mario Andretti--Very very dependable and costs no more than a taxi--

Andy

Do you know if limoservicerome takes credit cards and is tipping customary?
Thanks,

Andy Aug 17th, 2002 11:17 PM

Lana-- Limoservice Rome does NOT take credit cards- only cash-- and yes, we did tip the driver--

He was a Sylvester Stallone look-alike and I wanted to stuff him in my suitcase!

But all kidding aside, he was NOT a typical crazy Italian driver-and it was a wonderful drive to our hotel ....

WHen I go back again, I will use them again...I have recommended this company to all my friends that have gone over and EVERYONE loved them....

Email [email protected] and make it to the attention of Andrea- he was my contact over there..

When YOU put in your flight info on their website, THEY can pull it up and keep looking at the site to see WHEN you plane comes in---If you are arriving at the airport---- ALSO they meet you just outside of Customs--
