Check bags Miami - Madrid - Tel Aviv ??

Hi
Traveling Miami to Tel Aviv in 2 days. Taking a 12 hr layover in Madrid. I am flying both legs on Iberia.
Should I check bags all the way through to Tel Aviv & trust that the ground crew in Madrid will -
1. - get my bags onto the second leg of the trip ?
2. will not go through / rummage through my luggage?

Any thoughts? Experience with this?

What are your other options?

Carry on only?

Check Miami to Madrid then separately check Madrid to tel Aviv?

If you must check bags the latter makes no sense to me. The same crews will be handling your bags regardles.

Lol, I am also going to Israel but in 3 days (stopping in Paris for 6 hours). How long are you going for.

>>1. - get my bags onto the second leg of the trip ?<<

The same chance no matter which option you choose . . .

>>2. will not go through / rummage through my luggage?<<

Huh? Is the a serious question?

IMO, there's no reason not to check your bags all the way through to Tel Aviv.
I've done it often enough, and never had a problem.

Just don't leave any gold bars in your suitcases.
