cheaptickets--anyone get refunds yet?

I was wondering if anyone who has applied for a refund from cheaptickets.com (because of 9/11) has received a refund yet. The end of this month will be three months for us. Thanks. Marge

I too have a refund pending from CheapTickets.com and have yet to receive it. I got nothing but great service when I purchased them, but once a refund was offered, I found the customer service people there to be less than helpful. I was hung up on several times before asking to speak to a manager, and even getting an answer to my query. I am having a bad feeling about my refund, but I remain hopeful.

I received ours about two weeks ago. We purchased with a credit card and were able to dispute the charges when the flights were cancelled. The tickets were returned by certified mail, photo copies of everything and the credit card company did everything else. Hope it works out for you. <BR>

I'm glad to hear someone else is having trouble with CheapTickets. I have been through a nightmare with them. THEY cancelled my tickets, by mistake I think, when I requested information about what to do IF we decided to cancel. I tried to get them reinstated and was told I could not because I had bought too many tickets and they were not allowed to sell that many to one customer. Huh? They were all to happy to take the reservations we I charged them! I think they were only trying to cover their mistake. I then was told that we would not have had reservations once we reached the airport, even if 9/11 had not occurred! The story goes on and on about their mistakes--like charging the wrong tickets to the wrong credit cards and such. Now they want us to pay them $175 per ticket cancellation fee on tickets that they, not we, cancelled--reservations that they tell us we never really had. I filed a dispute with my credit card as soon as the problem arose. We returned the tickets using the process that we were told to use. Last week, they "refunded" part of the money, but my credit card has never really paid them anything to refund. The really bad part is that we never got the chance to decide if we wanted to continue with our plans, and some, if not all, of us were planning to go. By asking for the refund information, we thought we were helping CheapTickets by being prepared to return the tickets in a timely manner if we decided to cancel.

For anyone interested, we did get our refund on January 11; credited back to our credit card. It took about 3 months as they originally told me it would.
